Dr. Maruthi Akella has been elected to Associate Fellow of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He will be presented with an Associate Fellow pin and certificate at the AIAA Associate Fellows Dinner in January 2008.
Dr. Akella's research interests in include nonlinear adaptive control, dynamical systems theory, and estimation and system identification. He has served on the Cockrell School of Engineering faculty since 1999 and has published more than 20 research papers and technical reports.
