Mary WheelerProfessor Wary Wheeler has been selected as a winner of the 2009-2010 W. A. “Tex” Moncrief, Jr. Simulation-Based Engineering and Sciences (SBES) Grand Challenge Faculty award. She was selected for her work, "Reservoir Characterization and Evaluation of Long Term CO2 Storage in Saline Aquifers.”

The Moncrief Grand Challenge Program provides stipends of up to $75,000 per award and per semester for faculty members to work on research and academic programs in advancing computational engineering and sciences. A total of five university professors were selected for the Grand Challenge Program.
