Bill Hollister joined Aegis Aerospace (formerly MEI Technologies) in November 2019 and serves as company president. Previously, Hollister served as the vice president, Space & Defense Services, and was responsible for the overall execution performance, profit & loss, and growth of Aegis Aerospace’s portfolio of Space & Defense Services programs.
Prior to joining Aegis Aerospace, Hollister served as Program Director of the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Space Operations Contract (ESOC) for Collins Aerospace which provided NASA with the capability to conduct spacewalks for the International Space Station (ISS) and the Space Shuttle Programs. This effort included the development, sustaining engineering, logistics, and processing of spacesuits, systems and hardware required for all U.S. spacewalk related on-orbit, ground testing, and astronaut training activities.
Hollister was later responsible for overseeing the Collins Aerospace Civil Space & Sea Systems (CS&SS) portfolio of programs to develop, produce, and sustain complex systems that provide life support, environmental control, power generation, and mechanical actuation for human-rated spacecraft, submarines, and un-manned undersea vehicles.
From 1984 to 2010, Hollister served in a variety of roles on the Space Shuttle Program with McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell Space Operations Co., and finally with United Space Alliance (USA). These roles included serving as a USA Space Shuttle Program Mission Manager, the Director of Mission Management & Integration, and Deputy Associate Program Manager on the Space Shuttle Program.
Hollister earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He is the recipient of the NASA Astronaut’s Personal Achievement Award (Silver Snoopy), and the NASA Outstanding Public Leadership Medal.
